It was my main problem with experts-exchange that 70% of space was devoted to ads and you had to scroll around pages to find where the answers are.
stackoverflow has nice unobtrusive and relevant ads in sidebar. Semanticoverflow has 4 ads on each question page, that’s three too many.

I really enjoyed your blog post about the State Machine and T4 Templates and was wondering if you still had the sample code some wheres about? Its a dead link on the post and I am trying to resurrect what you created there from the bits a pieces of code in the page and using the latest version of T4 ( the file name is /aabs/NDFA2.zip ). Things are not coming to a boil (I think it is a combination of me missing a very obvious morsel and a difference in T4 versions) and your code sample will probably snap things into place.

Is the netbook remix the same as what’s now called eeebuntu? If not, what’s different?

Am liking gnome do too. That was in the noobs guide as a recommendation. Very slick.

With the 10″ screen I don’t need the funny remix interface so I guess my next install will just be Ubuntu, although I’m also considering Xubuntu — it’s snappier and has matured.

Things I did to make life easier

1) Installed Synaptic Touchpad Daemon (helps prevent me accidentally moving the cursor when typing — but if I remember it was a bugger to set up)
2) Increased the terminal font size to 10 point (I used to use 8)
3) Stopped using Gnome Evolution. Consider Thunderbird, or Mutt for geeky cred :-) .
4) Use more keyboard shortcuts and use Gnome-Do as an application launcher

Looking forward to Ubuntu 9.10 at the end of the month :-)
